    Anybody ever own a KLR650?

I have 11000 miles on this bike now. No problems, only done air filter, oil changes, set of tires, and chain maintenance.

    Yum... Tacos

Looks awesome. Is some kind of cover or small box going to go on that compressor? Is it going to get beat up by stuff sliding around in the box?

Need opinions on near future build

I would go with whatever makes it lightest and lowest overall. Definitely Toyota axles so you could run small tires if you choose to keep things fun. I definitely wouldn't build anything to run bigger than 36s as most of the trails around the area are pretty boring above that. Do you snow...

    Tires, wheels, and beadlocks

Don't go cheap on the beadlocks if you are going to use them. I bought those stupid Rockathon steel ones and hated them. They bend easy. I would save for a nice set of cast beadlocks or maybe DIY kits with thick rock rings and anti-coning rings.

I went down it on my big ass utility ATV last summer. It was a puckering experience.

    Anybody ever own a KLR650?

You taken that thing off of any sweet jumps yet? I am still in the market. I am thinking of just going to the dealer and buying new. But I have just about decided to get the 250 dual sport flavor. Just trying to decide between Honda CRF250L or Yamaha WR250R.

    Here we go again build

Nice kit. I always hated the rear frame rails and rear spring buckets on my TJ. Factory is really ****ty for anything other than stock height.

    ChrisCo's Cow

It was a short rear shaft for a TJ. I called them about it and they said that was normal for balancing. I was gonna have to pay shipping and let them determine if I got the shipping back once they loozed at it. They did say if it was balanced it would be on me for shipping both ways. It wasn't...

    ChrisCo's Cow

The last shaft I got from Tom Woods was less than stellar. It had 15 - 20 weights all over it, some of those were stacked 3 deep. Also 2 zirks were stripped and I had to drill and re tap them. I wish I would have went local.

    Anybody ever own a KLR650?

I'm on the look out for one too. My research says it's mid grade and heavy but will tool our asses around on pavement and dirt. My only problem is I think the 650 will be too tall for me.

    Toyotal Solid Axle Rebuild Problem

Because you are binding the transfer case, ring/pinions, axle shafts, and drive lines. You should really go read it again. The front tires are traveling further than the rear tires when turning thus making the ratios different between the front and rear tires and binding **** up on a high...
