    Sold/Expired 91 Ford Explorer trail/crawler. SOLD!!!!!

Re: 91 Ford Explorer trail/crawler I'm the one that built it. This was the one we used to prototype the SAS kit on. The Ex that 5bros has now was the 2nd one after this one was finished. I'd own it again if I had the room. Anthony Terry called me and offered it back to me but I just can't...

Not really looking to sell. My junk will be sitting on jack stands. I would really rather swap for a different set of tires so I can go wheel.

Ask someone that knows more than you

When we split the thinner pieces, we laid it in some 3/8" thick angle iron and put 5 or 6 heavy tacks along the bottom to hold it in place. Using the hand torch on the plasma, we'd bounce around cutting slits about 18" long but not connecting them. We'd leave about 1/4" of material between each...

That's exactly what we were contemplating. A lot of work but it will get the job done. What cutter do you use? And what work do you do where you have to split pipe lengthwise? I thought we were the only ones

Ask someone that knows more than you

When doing quotes for jobs, a lot of time I have to go at it blind because it's something we've never done before. All "they" care about is getting a number for the cost of work. I come up with a ridiculous amount and throw it at them to see what sticks. We win some, we lose some and that's ok...

    Shop heat!?!!

Oh yeah, just caught that after rereading. Yes, they are gas. The electric only ignites them when the thermostat kicks them on.

    Shop heat!?!!

Our electric bill was a joke. Literally the same as my home. We work 6-7 days a week so the lights had me worried. It has been warmer this year but still thought the gas bill would be higher. My neighbor is going to order some since seeing our gas bill.

    Shop heat!?!!

I've got 11,000 sq ft (6,000 of that has 27' high ceilings) and 13 of these heaters. The heat is even all through the shop and even if we open the door to get a truck in, we don't lose heat like with the forced air heaters. Everything in the shop is warm to the touch too. I worked with forced...

Infrared. 30% savings on gas bill vs the old forced air heaters. Not to mention no noise.

    Plasma cutters.

We never had a problem with our old Cutmaster 51and when it came time to upgrade we looked at Hypertherm but chose the Cutmaster 152 instead. Not having to buy a new machine torch and the fact that the Thermal Dynamics was $2K cheaper than the Hypertherm were the deciding factors. Been cutting...
