    40ft gooseneck

Nice trailer. It's tagged as having 6k axles with 6 lug wheels but has obviously been upgraded to 8 lug hubs with 17.5 wheels and tires. Are the axles still 6k with upgraded 8 lug hubs or has it had 7k or larger axles swapped under it all together?

    The Ultimate Trail Bouncer Build

I heard you cussing your Atlas once this year Jeremy when you were switching from rear burn to front burn. It made me happy to see you struggling with it. :flipoff1:

    The Ultimate Trail Bouncer Build

Just catching up on this post lol. Ok Lee so I have to admit that I'm the mouth breather Jeremy (POR) is talking about regarding the Atlas front dig deal. The dude literally uses front dig at least 100 times a day. So at KOH years ago when my Jeeps Atlas was new and my cable shifters probably...

    KOH 2020

You can drive a stock vehicle to the spectator areas for back door and chocolate thunder without a problem. If you have a stock 4wd you can easily get around through the desert to the entrances and exits of most of the trails out there. We were headed back from spooners canyon one year...

    KOH 2020

I'm going back this year for the 6th time. KOH is definitely a blast. The wheeling out there is awesome and totally different than around here (TN) but much of the reason I go back every year is to spend time and ride with the west coast friends I've made over the years. As far as prep goes...

    Low Gears

Well obviously.. It was just an example to explain the reasoning behind why a low gear ratio is physically not as strong as a higher gear ratio. The concept is the same across the spectrum of high to low. The lower the ratio the weaker it gets due to the lesser quantity of ring and pinion...

    Low Gears

I guess my point is for example.. all things being equal a dana 60 3.73 with a much larger 11 tooth pinion is going to handle more stress load events than smaller pinion dana 60 6.17 that has 5 less pinion teeth. Because with lower gear ratio's there's less teeth to do the work in comparison to...

    Low Gears

Yeah for gear strength, I wouldn't run anything lower than a 5.38. There's still 8 pinion teeth and 43 ring gear teeth on a 5.38 where as a 6.17 pinion only has 6 teeth and 37 ring gear teeth. So obviously, the lesser amount of teeth on the pinion puts a larger amount of stress on the ring...

HALE MT - Oct. 12 weekend

Awesome weather and great turnout for this ride. We had a blast and as usual, our crew got a little rowdy.

    Let's see your tow rig!!!

I've had the new ford for a few weeks now. Absolutely love it so far, already leveled it and threw some dig tars on it. :JRich: New truck looks awesome dude. :dblthumb:
