I've been runnin 12 grade 8 bolts and trail gear flanges for at least 5 years of racing and we rock comps. They must be loctited and kept tight. It has alway a race prep checklist item. Eventually the drive flange will crack not the bolts that fail. I just installed the new TG studless...

Figure no reason to limit tire size... some trucks work better with taller tires and others with smaller...
I still get first dibs on them back if you want to sell....lol ;D
I agree and love my tunable shocks... but want to keep the class attainable to the trail wheeler/future racer. Lets keep things simple now.... see how many RACERS show up and discuss.
I had actually gone back and forth that (4 stud) rule, with the cost dropping on 6 shooters and ease of 5th stud and the type of racing these rigs will be doing... The strength gained would actually be beneficial and low cost improvement. Certainly a negotiable point among actual...

The idea is for a basic spec drivers class.
My current Ftoy 94 I race would need some major de tuning to meet these rules.

While I agree that including any 4 cylinder would certainly increase the number of rigs, it would also increase the mechanical advantage of one vehicle vs another, therefore no longer making it a driver's class.
Perhaps a non-spec'd 4cyl class could...
