So I picked up a transmission for my buggy tonight and was told it was a th400 out of an old military truck. It has HD stamped on the housing and from what i have read there was a heavy duty version of the th400. Is this one and if so what are the differences between it and a normal th400?

Finally pulled the trigger on my buggy build. Picked up a Chevy vortec 5.3l last night. Shopping for a tranny/t-case combo now. Since the engine is going to be mid/rear, I am leaning towards doing a 2wd tranny with a divorced t-case. Anyone have experience with doing this or any advice? Or would...
