hey crash I recommend laying camper tape on all the surfaces the sheetmetal will lay on and fasten to. it will help with noises transferring through the chassis and making annoying sounds from vibrations on the aluminum.

U could have a bad oil ring letting oil suck up into the cylinder, but id suspect a worn valve guide and valve stem seal. Especially with the extra puff of smoke on start-up.

pump it and don't stop and don't open the bleeder, keep pumping until you think ur leg will fall off and then keep pumping.

you would want to cool the races i was making a suggestion for bearings, like on a differnetial. id just find a race driver set to install your wheel bearing races squarely.

i would guess you have a valve problem on #4 if the other parts didnt cure your misfire. that mis could have helped contribute to your failing cat as it would have sent unburned fuel into overfueling it and overheating it melting the catylst inside. the tranny may be feeling as its shifting odd...
