I always ran the clips..Almost always. I definitely started using them after i almost lost a locking hub when the pins and studs sheared.

Finding someone to do it right was my main concern. I've seen the results of a half assed job.

Does anyone still cut and rotate Toyota front housings to get a better pinion angle? Or is a high pinion my only option? I'm not looking to go with duals any time soon.

Does wrapping the crossover in header wrap help much?

Replaced the fubar intake boot at the throttle body. It didn't make a difference in the surge but at least i know it's not leaking there anymore. After seeing someone in Mavericks thread mention unplugging the tps i gave that a try and the surge went away. So either i need to replace the tps or...

They are adjustable. It's a pain in the ass on a 22re because the screws that hold it to the throttle body are partially blocked by the t stat housing. If you Google 22re tps adjustment 4crawler has a very detailed write up on how to do it.

Replaced coolant temp sensor with no changes. I was replacing the passenger side valve cover gasket and found the intake elbow from the throttle body to the silencer? was badly cracking and has a big piece missing. It's bad enough that even duct tape can't bandage it. Not sure if replacing it...
