My father in law , pulling a big toy hauler with a first gen Dodge dually , has lost a rear axle in Jackson ,Tn.
anyone have a recommendation of somewhere to repair it? If he was back in Knoxville I would just put a 14 bolt into it.
4500 lbs. but unlike traditional toy haulers , I have a 8000 lb cargo weight in the garage. The trailer tows like a dream with the axles that far back, but makes getting in and out of beach campgrounds and KOA’s fun. 56 ‘ from tip of truck to the tail. I carry a goat built buggy in the...
Here is a pic of the structure that controls the slide. A hydraulic ram on each side of the slide operates the X you see In the pic. That view is from the garage forward.
The front landing gear is hydraulic. It also has a back up pump that is located to the right hand side if the pic underneath. With the turn of a valve, it will also pump the slide in and out. The side is about 14 feet long and 24 inches deep. The fresh water tank is located under the couch in...
Out camping with the family with our trailer. Figured I would add a few pics for those looking to build their own. You can see the gas grill slides out of a side compartment. It is plumbed for gas. The ship sink hooks through another outside compartment door. Just inside the door are the...
I believe a wall is a must and separate air conditioning. Ours has a heat pump in the garage as well. This makes a good back up unit for the living quarters unit Incase it fails.
We have a 42 foot 2006 Cimmeron.
It has a 8000 lb payload and a 14 foot isolated garage. All aluminum trailer. Fiberglass roof. Had to have something nice for the wife and I wanted a enclosed trailer.
Unless you use a narrow wheel, the 38 SX is a small 37 inch tire. I have run them for about 3 years, 38x12.50x15. I have ruined two sets of wheel with them, the tires are tough. With Hal tread left, they measure 35 inches tall on allied wheels
Good looking trailer. My trailer at 42 feet can be a big pain in the ass when in tight quarters at a traditional camp ground. I would think 48 feet would be a bitch.
With the new HE style you have to get one with a steam cycle to get ride of the sweat and pee smell. Every time you unload clothes leave to front load door open so it can dry out and it will. It mildew.
I have a 42 foot trailer. I have three kids and a wife that pays the bills. She wanted a nice camper I needed a enclosed trailer. We found a compromise. We have an all aluminum trailer that has a 8000 lb payload garage. The interior is was built by a coach works company. The trailer is...
