    KM2's Real World Experience

Been working Good enough on my jeep. Running 37x12.50R17's. In the sand they don't do as good as others. But I never really aired them down. Just have to use 4x4 alot more then my last jeep. But other then that, I like them overall, but Probably won't buy them again though.

    School me on dually's

I wasn't thinking running with the hubs locked all the time. just on days when I am going to know I will be needing 4wd. Like when I am working on my property hauling stuff out. I'll need 4wd to get in and out, but do I have unlock in between loads?

    School me on dually's

What about the front locking hubs. Is it ok to run in 2wd with the front hubs locked? Or do you have to lock them in only when you want to switch into 4wd. As in

    School me on dually's

Thanks for the compliments. Yeah my cummins gained 5mpg's with a dpf delete. I hope for similar results with this. That regen is a mpg killer for sure. Was looking at the Sparten tuner and possibly a package deal with a dpf delete. I just wanted to know if there is anything out of the ordinary...

    School me on dually's

I decided to get a long bed for using for work and the best deal I found was a '08 Ford F350 Dually. I was looking for a SRW but I couldn't turn the deal down. I now own my first DRW truck. As well as my first FORD. So what the benifits and drawbacks. I tow alittle, but haul alot and sometimes...

    Super dooty tires

I like the Toyo M/T's. Put about 31K miles on them in the last year. Looks like I'll get one more year out of them. Don't do alot of towing, but do tow a 24' Enclosed as well as a open car trailer. The tires do as well as I could ask. I will replace them with the same next summer. The cheapest I...

    Storing a Diesel

Fill the tank FULL and maybe a additive. IDK we have fuel in our boat for longer periods and never have a problem. BUT REMEMBER diesel attracts water.

    Cummins vs Duramax vs PowerStroke

I think that th chebby has a nicer interior then the current heavy duty dodges, not the new 09 1/2 ton model though. My FIL has 32K miles on his 07 and the interior doesn't seem to hold up very well. When I borrowed his truck to run to vegas for the week last year. I accidently put BIO-DIesel in...

    Cummins vs Duramax vs PowerStroke

+1 on the mega cab, but sometimes I wish it came with the long bed. Been trying to talk myself into adding one though.

    new tow rig...

When I did my 08 I left the resonator on and replaced everything else (2 Cats and a DPF) with 4" pipe. Has a good sound and doesn't drone on the freeway.

    new tow rig...

+1 on the smarty. But don't the 50 State cummins come with the Cats? I cannot remember when the CARB killed the diesels.

    Cummins vs Duramax vs PowerStroke

I was just flipping through one of those auto sales magazines that you get from the front of grocery stores and they had a 1999 F-350 Ext. cab, long bed dually with the 7.3L PowerStroke and only 22K miles. That would be a ford I'd consider. On the other hand my FIL has a D-Max with...

    Cummins vs Duramax vs PowerStroke

Cummin's all the way. Look for the H.O. 04.5-05 though. And if you are going to mod stick to the manual tranny. Stay away from the 6.0 read lots of bad about it, but the Chevy probably would be too bad either.

    Cat 3208- Good?

IDK about the 3208's but I have a couple of 3406's for hydraulic/generator power and love them. We got a deal on them since they needed a rebuild which cost $40K each. I replaced a couple of Detroits 8V71's and all I can say is I love CAT power. The only thing I love more is my John...

    Deathwobble - 08 Cummins

Yeah that's what I was thinking about. When I was talking to one of the tech's he said it was to get rid of the wobble. Now most if not all of the trucks come with this set up.

    Deathwobble - 08 Cummins

Dodge has released to solution, it is a one piece tie-rod and seperate track bar. They replaced the "Y"version where the track-bar attachs to the tie-rod. If you have a death wobble you should be able to upgrade under a TSB, I think. Make sure to ask about it while your in there. I also have a...

MY DODGE 5.9 VS. 6.7 please?

Just a FYI the Dodge dealer in Kirkland on 24th seems pretty mod friendly. I talked to the Service manager about bringing my truck in for service and he said that they don't "Look" for mods. I said that I have a pillar mounted programer, he said don't worry, but if I need any engine warrenty...
