I have an ORV sticker + Street Plate (no disco pass) on my Jeep because more of that $$$ goes to directly to us. Disco pass on the truck that I can share with the car if I want to do the park thing. Technically you need an ORV sticker OR a disco pass to be on DNR trails and roads behind a gate...

You want an ORV park in Whatcom county? Well this is your chance to start seeing that happen! DNR is holding two planning meetings in Bellingham in Jan the 19th and 20th. Its imperative that as many people from the ORV community attend BOTH of these meetings. Prioritization for what gets built...

Horus wasn't considered because they (Brock and the selection committee) didn't know him. I also tried to get him on, but alas I guess its too big already at 17. Mike Ames was the '4x4 guy' because they misunderstood that he was affiliated with 4x4 groups. He isn't. so there are 3 ATV...

I just talked to Brock this morning as well. He didn't mention to me Jim being on the committee, just Ed. While I'm not too happy about it, Brock is keeping me in on the loop and we're invited to the meetings to listen and share concerns. Interestingly, I think this selection is a good example...

Members for the committee were chosen. No one primarily representing the 4x4 community was selected. The closest representative is Dave Hiatt who worked at TSF and is a WOHVA member. There are a few ATV members as well as a Motorcyclist. Of the 16 members, 4 are affiliated with ORV interests...

Actually Jacob (boardbysled) and I tried. I was involved in a few planning sessions before ground was broken, as well as the first walk throughs. We were also there for the first work party weekend and their attitude towards everything was very frustrating. We tried to organize our own work...
