Question on selling a buggy out of state.

Negative!! If he doesn't wanna carry cash (I get it) then meet him at a bank where the funds can be withdrawn and handed over. Otherwise you're leaving yourself exposed with no leverage. Would an ACH or money transfer via Zelle or another be a practical answer? Don't know the limitations off...

    Let's see your tow rig!!!

Thanks, I found skoolies many years ago and have always threatened to build one then covid hit said I jumped in. It was a 15 passenger airport shuttle bus, then a church bus and now this. It was a pile of rust when I bought it but it's pretty much done at this point. I have a (sort of) build...

97 Jeep TJ 2.5L to 5.9L Magnum... to MOAB!

When dragging a trailer most do the route out i40 west to ABQ then Moab and then east via i70 due to the steep grades west of Denver. Either way suggest taking route 128 heading into Moab along the Colorado river, its gorgeous. FYI - We took a big rig through there 21 Road!!!, must do 21...

is a dry heat!!! I know know, the whole oven thing but it really does make a difference especially on a windy day. Very easy to get dehydrated so carry water.

Agreed. milkshakes are excellent. Gotta hit Milts Stop and Eat too for a great old fashioned Hamburger, it aint perty but the food is damned good. Also, there's a cool little t-shirt shop on the main drag with custom made shirts and thousands of off road sticker. I walked out $100 poorer

Making trip to Moab UT, looking for trail suggestions along the way!

Tail lights, headlights, tags and insurance are highly recommended. Windshield is a good thing to have for the road portions too. Some trails are a ways out of town on black top (such Poison Spider Mesa) and getting back in town after dark is not unusual. Comparing Sand Hollow to Moab is...

So it's the year 2050, what are we gonna see on the trails (not the races)?

electric motors all around, 1 electric motor at each wheel and would also negate need for any gearing at all. Imagine the possibilities, no drive-line, no drive shafts or any of the crap associated.

1 week is not enough time to hit them all. I've been a total of 3 weeks and covered about 80% of the major trails leaving several of the lesser known trails undone. Well said and spot on on in your description about the cost of a mess up. Seems almost everything out there is off camber and...

you're going to have a great time but dont blink, it'll be over. Hit Milts Stop and Eat for a great burger, hole in the wall place a little off the beaten path. Also Moab Diner is good.

I've been out 2x for 2 weeks each and as said above barely scratched the surface. Prioritize your trails if you only have 1 week. There's no perfect answer to your question. Many of the trails start in one place and end in another. We ran Pritchett late one day that eventually dumped us into...

    uber to moab?

very good points above ^^. The only downfall to ubering your rig out there is not having a trailer. You're gonna have to pound a lot of pavement with your trail rig and if it dont have some road ability you're gonna have a tough time getting to/from the trails. For example, from downtown Moab...

    uber to moab?

I've done it this way twice but I have a buddy with a big rig and a 3-car trailer so that part was easy. The rest of it can be a challenge if you're on a budget like me. You can fly into and out of Moab, they finally have commercial flights 2x or 3x a day but they can be pricey. The airport...

    trip out east

would recommend selecting at least 2 parks depending on when you arrive. Look at either AOP (great option) or Windrock for weekday wheeling and then Hawk Pride, Choccolocco or any of the other good parks in the area for the weekend riding. Curious though, have you guys been to Sand Hollow? We...

    Health insurance

have a buddy on Medishare and loves it but has only been on it since the 1st of year so not really a true test. I looked into it briefly and found out they do not cover per-existing conditions going back 3 years, wife had cancer awhile back so that did not work for us. One thing you can do to...
