Picked up a bike.. just in time to not ride it for the winter!

I would really put a folding lever one there. You run the risk of doing more damage upstream if that lever isn't allowed to give.I buy all that kinda stuff at https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/4006/3029/Tusk-Folding-Shift-Lever unless I'm trying to get out the next morning and then I go to...

    Kick starting a dirt bike

Haha....Got it a month ago...had it out a couple times.I got it to ride with my wife. She's had a couple different CR80's over the last few years. Up until recently I would just follow her around in the buggy....but now she rides the trails pretty well so she spends less time on the roads so the...

    Kick starting a dirt bike

Make sure the gas hasn't been sitting so long that the pre-mix oil and fuel have seperated. Also I've been told that the modern Ethanol fuel is really bad about seperating and not staying mixed....as in week to week. I have a Cr 500 with no comp release.....I just cycle it over to TDC on the...

    Stevens Pass

I just went and scoped out Youtube...there are a few decent G-pro vids of the new trails. "Slingshot Wookie" is the name of the Advanced single track trail apperently.

    Stevens Pass

Yes...real muddy. Stevens pass,Dirt Corp and whom ever else that helped did an awesome job getting 2 trails runnable. One trail is "just like" B-line at Whistler.....IMO same feel and flow with little table tops scattered along the way. The top half seemed a little older with more compacted...

    MTN Bike

Loosen the cable with the adjuster on the shifter itself.....start with that. The screws limit the inner and outer travel range of the derailer....every thing inbetween is cable tension

    Camping Spots?

My wife and I camp along here for climbing purposes....usually @ 8 mile campground. Good luck "swimming" in the Icicle River.....I've been known to get in and OUT for washing purposes but holy smurfs is it cold. As summer goes on and the river slows it gets better but.............. Super...

    Duthie Hill

Duthie....meh....I was pretty stoked on it for a while but I just don't think it's sustainable without a full time crew maintaining it. The braking bumps in the corners, ruts up the lips, NON-builders modifying stunts and the overall douchbaggery that is the general public. I haven't been out...

    20" vs 24" BMX

You'd "probably" be alright. In my bike shop,as soon as a customer would mention wanting to "jump' or "freeride" we would automatically [TRY] to get them to step up to a suitable bike. It just heads off return visits from the same customer,in the future, with bent wheels, bent cranks or worse...

    20" vs 24" BMX

For "Just riding around" to get into shape the Rincon would be fine. I would not Jump or Freeride/DH the Rincon or anyother bike @ that PRICEPOINT especially being that your a big guy. For jumping type activity your goin to need a bike designed for abuse.

    Too early for mtn bikes?

Oh yeah.........It had KONA Bulge cranks on it....not Profiles. Still super burl though!! What is the red tape lookin stuff in/around the chainring/chainguide area? Do I need to get that from you and work on it before you really start riding it?!:eeek::redneck:

    20" vs 24" BMX

I would recomend a DJ specific 26" There are some nice DJ 26" bikes that come set up stock ready to rip!! I get a hook up through KONA so I'm partial......but I ride an 2008 Kona Cowan...size small (I'm 5'10" 205) pretty much stock except for switched out to Maxxis Holy Roller tires and...
