Any lucky hunters this year? Or was everybody just trying to stay dry?

    Anybody ever own a KLR650?

they are super reliable, do most things OK. Nothing is exciting about them except you always make it home. Good all around, cheap adventure bike.

    2 stroke on the trails

If i'm reading your quote correctly your talking about 4 wheelers while everyone else is speaking about 2 wheeled bikes. That said, new bikes are better in every way, the are faster, LIGHTER, easier to start, less fatiguing on so on. I appreciate old tech but not with my bike. Old bikes are...

    2 stroke on the trails

You have a 150 pound 2 stroke? I would love to know what it is so I could get one. The most common e-start bikes in the woods are KTM or Yamaha 225. All around 250 pounds. I had a ktm 300 which was the best woods bike I've owned, way better than 4 strokes but not street legal at the time so...

    Hunting season

It can be a unit you have to spend a lot of time in to find elk if the weather doesn't show up to help.

    Hunting season

It's a good unit. A lot of elk move there as the season progresses or if we get some weather.

    Hunting season

A friend of mine took his son out on the youth turkey hunt and got a real nice tom up the clockum. Kids first bird. I'm not sure what I think of the multi season tag. Kinda pricey for a dear but it would be fun to hunt that much.

    Last ride

That would be ice. It cost a little money but hand guards, ect. pay for themselves quickly. BTW, I love riding but riding on ice sucks. Kudos to you.:awesomework:

    Camper question

I'd check to make sure it's legit. It's no good to have stolen property in your possession. Run the VIN.

Picked up a bike.. just in time to not ride it for the winter!

hand guards and radiator guards. A steering stabilized costs some money but if you ever use one, you'll never go back. If you want to get in shape there's a little race in Odessa every spring....

    Hunting season

Anybody have any luck with deer? I've seen several bucks but were either not legal or couldn't get a shot. One more weekend then it's off to elk camp.

    KTM tires and wheels

I work the weekend of the 27th. A trials tire is a good choice. I'm considering going back to those. They wear better than the knobbies and since spring riding is out (thanks to the loser FS and seasonal closures) it's mostly dry trails where the trials tire shines, especially with two smokes.

    KTM tires and wheels

Sept is one of the best times to ride, the trails are empty and the weather is great. I got a decent amount of riding in this year and did several new (to me) trails from the naches side. Never got to ride up in the Eniat this year. Stupid fires. I don't think I have a free weekend...

    KTM tires and wheels

Sorry, all my friends and myself that run katooms are already plated and have gone back to pure dirt tires. Good luck.

    Hunting season

Shell rock is where my camp used to be. There's a big section of private land that has been closed on that road and you can't drive up it from the bottom any more. You can only (legally) get to it from the upper N. Fork. Oh, yeah the N. Fork is closed at the bottom too.

    Hunting season

If you haven't been to the Manastash since 1988, you'll be stunned how many roads have closed since then. I hope you can get to your deer camp.
