I’d have to measure to be sure probably 4 or 5 inches or so. But if your gonna go four link I would just do that instead of wasting the money and effort to swap springs first.

New seals and brakes. Just waiting on some studs from Toyota and axles will be done.

Got the springs hung. Getting a 6.5 case tomorrow and ordering psc steering kit. Is 1/4 sheet to thick for a bracing front or should I have went with 1/8? Got the rebuild kit for axels on the way.

Well figured I’ll start a build thread. Will be slow going but going none the less. Plans are yj springs yota axles 36-39s nothing fancy. Eventually gonna get lower gears in the axles and case but just trying to get it going again first.

    Yj spring swap

Yj spring swap on a samurai. On all the kits I’ve looked at they bring the rear spring mount forward on the frame. I’m thinking I could get some more wheel base if I mounted the the rear mount farther back, maybe make a bracket on the bumper like the old Cherokee stretch. Anyone done this or...

    Cross over or hydro steering?

Got a samurai gonna put yota axles under it and yj spring swap. Should I just do full hydro or invest in power steering? Seems to me it would just be easier to just do full hydro off the at because it’s not going to be drove on the road at all. Just looking for input. Sent from my iPhone using...
