    KOH 4600 build

Meh... The Busywild can be tame during the summer months, and damn near impossible without 40s during the rainy seasons. FWIW, I've seen Krawlers do far better in Elbe than Boggers, but all the locals like 'em.

Anybody tapped an 03-06 Jeep steering box?

I haven't. Had good luck with Redneck Rams tapped steering boxes, and, currently run a PSC tapped box. The PSC is a bigger box (think Dodge Durango) and is higher quality. The Redneck was really really affordable.

    Tractor grapple

I used 6 inch (half inch thick) square tubing, welded to half inch plate. It doesn't move.

Gambler 500 - I guess it is time to learn about VW's

none of my business, so feel free to disregard, however, I've always had a problem with a spare tire held onto the top of a vehicle with a rope, or weak-ass ratchet strap. I've seen a wreck once, where the tire launched like a rocket. Scary stuff.

Gambler 500 - I guess it is time to learn about VW's

Use the caddy. The Camry is a better car. We were the Caddy dealer for a long time. The Northstar is a great engine, until it isn't. They were prone to leak oil. Lots of leaks. And they had a tendency to self implode when the cooling system failed. Especially bad if you didn't use the...

Northstar? Lots of power, make sure it has antifreeze

    What's a good ball joint?

I've always used Moog, and had good luck. However, when I next replace them, I'll consider some of the specialty aftermarket ones. I know Dynatrack now builds D60s, as well as EMF. Both of these seem superior, but also more costly. Regarding cone washers, I've always used split cone washers.
