    Family Truckster LJ build

Since youre this far in, I would cut the weld on the other C, and get your pinion/caster dialed in perfect for the rig before burning them in.

Standard transmission in a rock buggy?

Im guessing you are out west, so maybe that deep of a gear will be usable. Unless you spend for an aftermarket 300, I dont believe it will hold up to LS power and that gearing. I would install a hand throttle to help with missing a 3rd leg.

    Fuel cell venting

Either way, I think the rollover valve still stays on the tank vs the end of the hose, correct?

    Unit Bearing on kingpin knuckle

The adapter I built was manly so you could reuse a standard length stub. The 05+ UB wont bolt to the knuckle, and it has a much larger bore and pattern on the back. It might be possible to machine the knuckle to accept the larger UB, but not sure what that would change, as far as strength...

    Unit Bearing on kingpin knuckle

The 99-04 unit bearing is the closest to fitting. If custom shafts arent an issue, it should be able to bolt up easily. 05+ UB idea basically died. Noone would pay for the adapter to run it on KP knuckles, given how cheap/easy it would be to swap the knuckles/axle. If you arent limited by...

Trying to get it mostly right the first time: A 5.9 Magnum and 46RE swapped, Tummy Tucked Daily Driven Jeep TJ

Could you run 2 smaller fans, or a pusher? I know its not ideal, but might fit better.

    French Tickler buggy

You are correct. It seems that most believe that positive ackerman is ideal, but there are definite arguments for parallel or reverse (negative). Im interested to learn from your experience, on which you feel works the best, as much of the calculations and discussion is around street/race cars.

    French Tickler buggy

I was just re-reading your last posts. Are you wanting to get reverse or parallel Ackerman with your steering? Having the tierod mounts outboard of the kingpin should create better Ackerman. Since the factory Ackerman is designed around a WB of 142-176", the tierod mount really needs to move...

    French Tickler buggy

In general, I would agree. But the breakage could have also been worse in this case. There was a comment about using the same arms but in double shear, and still broke them. Not sure if that was double shear with the factory arm, or just the steering attachment. Either way, Tying into the...

Single seat rear engine buggy build

Thats badass. The proportions make it look like a rzr buggy. Im interested to see the weight bias.

Comanche Tube Chassis Truggy Thing Build

X2. I doubt you will remove the cab that often, once the build is finished. If you need to, cut the tube, and then slug it when you put it back together. If you put bracing in the other 2 directions on each side of that joint, it might help it stay aligned longer, but you will likely add a...

    Dodge dana 60

Yup. It isnt real clear when they started the non-CAD 60, but I have seen/heard of them in trucks from 00+. I have an 02, with CAD, so there was no guarantees. Pretty sure they continued the flipped knuckle concept into the AAM trucks. Someone on Pirate/Irate posted a way to eliminate the...

    Dodge dana 60

00+ dodge, with no CAD had a different knuckle setup than the older ones, and the ford knuckles will not work. If you have 94-99 Dodge axle with CAD, the Ford BJ knuckle will fit, like said above.

    Race Yota 4653

Does the fire suppression only activate when you pull the handle, or are their heat/smoke sensors too? I see that you are running a LP front. Maybe I missed it along the way, but why not HP? It's obviously holding up well, just curious. Also, is that a TG trunnion eliminator that broke?

    Peterbilt flatbed

how are you planning to strap it down? going to the center? short straps to the ends of the deck? tire straps?

    Peterbilt flatbed

Build the ramps beefy. A few of us have had to send buggies with broken front drivetrains, to get them on trailers, and the ramps show it afterwards. Which kinda brings a thought.... My concern whenever looking into steep ramps or custom buggy trailers, is "Can I load my buggy if I have a...

    YJ Build...just a little different.

Nice. A 2.3l zuk engine will get you a little more hp, and drop a few lbs. But best bet for engine swap without weight would be a boosted ecotec. I believe there is a 904 bellhousing/adapter out for them also.

    Mid level yj build

Most of what I have seen fail is upper BJ. Im sure the lowers could fail too, if a ujoint exploded. Four wheel supply out of VA made high steer arms for those knuckles, and machined them. His website is down, and I heard he closed, but might be able to contact him on FB and see if he will...

    Mid level yj build

You may not need highsteer, as the arms on the BJ axles are higher on the knuckle. I also believe there are BJ eliminators out for those axles, which would make them as strong or stronger than a KP knuckle. Could likely weld on high steer if need (similar to SD axles).
