Finally. Getting close on the buggy

That is a nice rig. Do you have a build thread on it somewhere?

That’s pretty cool you tracked it down and got it back. How about some specs?

Toyodaaddict's 1980 Toyota "The Blue Truck"

Mcguire bearing in Tacoma would be a good place to start.

Looks like new seal time. Did you mic the seal surfaces? May be time for a speedy sleeve as well.

    New Twisted buggy almost finished!

I’d love to have one of his buggy’s. Always drooled over Tracy Jordan’s TC rides.

    New Twisted buggy almost finished!

Sweet rig. I always liked Paule’s rigs back in my UROC days. Made nice stuff. Didn’t realize he was still building them.

    Cj7 steering issues

I’d confirm the toe is straight or at most 3/16 in. Check ball joints, tie rods ends and wheel bearings.

    Reworking the tired Toyota Pickup

I went coilovers, air bumps and sway bars and setup and packaging has been a pain. Still not done. Only reason I backed Out on struts is because I do a lot of overlanding and I was worried about blowing a strut seal on a trip. Not sure if it was a valid concern tho.

    winch talk

i think that is a good idea.

    winch talk

Perhaps, but in the rare occasion I need my winch I’d much rather deal with rope than cable. After 25 years of dragging cable around I’ll take a rope anyway. Novelty or not.

    winch talk

I have had a couple smitty 9500’s. never had any issues with them. I’d think if you ever need a winch on your ram you’ll want that 12000. No way to make it fit?

Do you use harbor freight tools

Impact sockets are a steal there. Work fine for a good price. I also use their ratchet extensions, grinding wheels, tall jack stands and a few other odds and ends. Most of it is trash but will get the home mechanic by.
