I did see a couple chinooks fly over the lake when I was up there, maybe it was a training exercise gone wrong...

Looking back, it was the 19th of April when I went up, so it could very well be snow free by now.

You know I thought the same thing pokey, could have been someone dumb trying to stay warm. There was still 3-4 feet of snow up there when I was there, but who knows what's there now. I'm pretty sure if there were motorized tracks up there, it'd be obvious and the ranger would have mentioned...

I was just up there a few weeks ago and now I wish I'd have pushed on the last little bit to see the cabin. It's definitely a long hike in the snow just to ruin something.

The axle had unscrewed the side bearing adjuster from the tower, and bent the retainer out far enough I couldn't get the third out of the housing without screwing the adjuster back in and bending the retainer flat, all through the axle tube. :mad: Finally got it apart yesterday, just need a new...

My boss is going to tag along with his grand cherokee, it's a mall crawler, but has a 4.5" longarm and 33s. If we start holding things up we'll break off on our own. I'll just be glad to get out again.

You're right, I searched and couldn't find anything in writing, but that was what the fsleo told me when he woke me up from sleeping in my car at 3 bridges on the carbon river. The other incident I was thinking of was a friend that got a ticket for sleeping in his car, but it was at the mowich...

I just figured I'd add that you can't sleep in your car when dispersed camping on usfs land. You have to sleep in a tent.
