It should be a good time. Ahtanum's a great place to ride. You've got the Grey Rock Trail, Darland Mt., Blue Lake, Blue Slide and Jumpoff Lookout. The scenery is pretty hard to beat. Plus you've got the Divide Ridge Trail and quick access into Rimrock for us Jeepers. Hopefully some of you can...

The only trail in the Ahtanum is the Divide Ridge Trail (USFS 615/613) and it won't open until the Forest Service lifts their closure. Everything else is open. Guys have been making the Darland Loop the last couple of weekends and the snow is good!

I'll be there on Saturday.

Here's the map of what they plan to "decommission." I've talked to a couple of people that attended the earlier meetings but what they had to say just raised more questions than answers for me.

At the PNW4WDA's Summer Convention in Ethel (Aug 14-16) they're going to try something a little different and offer a "Technical" Obstacle Course in addition to the regular racing and drags. I don't have a lot of details, but it is going to be a "crawler" type course with pits, hills, off camber...

Just to clarify on the last post....I'm not bashing the other clubs that hold events. They do a great job. I'm just trying to illustrate how a change in thinking can bring results.

My point exactly. By you saying it's a widespread myth, spread by un-knowing people, then you are agreeing that is the perception of the PNW right now. NOW....get out there and change it! Show people that it's a myth! Stop telling them to "come to meetings and see." Take the information to them...
