In talking with Jim Cahill of DNR a couple of weeks ago, they really need to haul more rock (from the top) to the new section of Mainline that by-passes the washout.

Fire Closure Walker Valley is closed until at least 10/15. It is extremely dry there so don't be surprised is the closure is extended. The fire started on the SMC (motorcycle/quad trail). It was serious enough that it burned several hoses and they had to pull firefighters back on some fronts...

I just talked with Duck Dodgers (Len). He was at Walker Valley. There is an active fire there that doesn't show on the link. They were getting ready to shut down all the area around Ron's Run and the Skill Building Area.
