Has the PNW4WDA looked at other big, successful lobbying/work groups and find out what they did to grow their membership?

I don't mean to be adversarial but if you reference me or quote me, you need to be correct. Where did I say "as whatthe even said in his post he knows that we were responsible for the last 40 years of creating and maintaining the existing trails true and fact." I stated I appreciated the work...

Well, again we're going to disagree. Having trails closed for 4 months out of the year is a loss. You stated " Its people with a attitude that rutting of trails to a point that their impassable to the majority that brought on the spring closures in the first place plain and simple" With that...

The obvious answer is all the trails in manastash/naches and liberty are lost every spring due to the seasonal closure. Your question then begs the question that started this whole conversation. I assume by your question that you believe that no trails have been lost. So I ask you, name one...

I mostly ride on two wheels and you're too old to do so.:redneck: I was up tuesday and friday and last weekend in my jeep. Where were you? Maybe you should get out in the woods more.

So how much net trail/road miles has your group added to federal and state land in the last 40 years? How many miles of road has been lost in that same time? I know your group hasn't stopped the loss of our trails/roads, possibly only slowed the progress. I know I may be clueless :rolleyes...

It does matter that these people don't represent me. That's one of the big failures of your groups. The FS and other enviro groups have got you to believe that illegal mudders represent you. You believe this and pass it along. They got you doing their dirty work of lumping us all together...

If they went off trail turn them in, no need to let them do right. If they stayed on trail and violated nothing but a seasonal closure there is no guilt. I do not accept the notion that those who go "mudding" and go off trail and tear up meadows reflect upon myself and responsible wheelers who...

I eagerly await to see how much more opportunity we will have with a new ranger but do you really think any more trails or access will open up? The trails are fine right now but has the new ranger opened them? My attitude is not part of the reason we have seasonal closures. It's because the...

When rules become ridiculous and the people who make them cannot be held accountable (Irene Davis is a good example) I say wheel on.

That's odd that no 4x4 trails are open in the Manastash (except 311). There were a bunch of wheelers up there today. Maybe they realize the trails are fine and should have been open weeks ago.

A lot of bike trails are open.:D. 4x4 trails should open soon. It's clear up to the rocks but you start hitting snow as you get up closer to quarts mtn. And we all know that wheeling in snow and mud kills salmon and baby seals so lets keep them closed as long as possible.:eeek:

All because people agreed years ago that using the public's land was "resource damage" and we've been back peddling ever since. This is the result we get from our previous generations lack of foresight.

    Excelent article by Jakob

Government is not going to give up control. DNR, USFS, DFW, will not want to give up their control of the public's land to the public. They think that they know what's best for the public and how it's best to limit as much as possible the use of public land. Keep building your trails...

The upper trails already had their first dusting of snow last Sunday, it was gone in one day. This time of year there can be a lot of snow or it can be t-shirt weather. Right now it's wet and muddy up there. There's usually not enough snow to prevent one from getting to the funny rocks until...
