PLAYER . I JUST CHANGED THE OIL AND FUEL FILTER ABOUT 30 DAYS AGO , AND PUT NEW HUB BEARING IN THE FRONT . TRUCK ALSO HAS A BANKS COLD AIR KIT,

SUPER CHIP PROGRAMMER, AND MBRP EXHAUST. THIS TRUCK NEEDS NOTHING AND RUNS PERFECT. IT GETS OVER 18 MPG DRIVING EVERYDAY BACK AND FORTH TO WORK

Is it an LBZ or LLY motor?

The 8th digit in the VIN will tell ya.
if its a 2 its an LLY
if its a D its an LBZ

the LBZ motor is the better motor. This truck is the white twin to my black one. 2006 with an LLY. Mines funky though. Its LLY but had the LBZ computer and tune on it. So my guess is mine was one of the very last LLY's off the line.
Great truck, I wish I knew how you are pulling down 18-19. I've never been able to break 17, and my average is 16.2. You drive like a grandpa??? :flipoff1:

i changed the tune .. i was ,and had only ever ran the truck on the tow performance tune,then a buddy told me to try it on the performance tune and drive it normal. i tried that and its been avg. high 18 and low 19 mpg about 1.5 / 2 mpg better than the tow peformance. i still go back to the tow performance while pulling my jeep (that you built) it does real good

Mechanically, the LBZ is very similar to the 2006 LLY model. The most significant difference between the LLY and LBZ is the computer controls. The LBZ features a much "wilder" tune, giving it a large increase in power horsepower and torque output.
