Looking for an 8.8 ford rear with 4.10 gears for a friend of mine. Disc brakes are preferred but isn't a deal breaker. He's looking to spend up to $300. I know they were in that price range a few years ago but I'm not sure what the market is on these now. 256-505-two1zero4 text preferred, please leave a voicemail if you call.

Not sure where you are exactly, but check your local pull a part. Nashville yards are PACKED with them.

No problem. A quick google search came up with the axle codes, you can find them in the drivers door. It's easier than counting teeth. I've bought several using this chart and it's never done me wrong. I still might pull the diff cover and check it though.

I've had good luck sourcing axles from car-part.com got my 06 Ford F350 D60 for $300 w/ everything except rotors. Even the pads were still good.
