Reading here for a long time and said why not posting ;)

beginning of the year i bought me a European ex U4 truck.
Planning is to do some challenge and if the funds allow it U4 europe.
Engine is a Lq4 mildly tuned
TH400 reverse shift
LT230 transfercase.
14 inch coilovers front and rear
in the rear 14 inch triple bypasses.

Bought the truck with Nissan patrol axle. First bought everything to reinforce them (33 spline rcv's) but then decided to go the american way and bought me a set of dana 60/14 bolt out of a K30

Still lots of work to do but will try to post pics as the build progresses

The first idea was just lower the car, ass bypasses, fix the electricity and th400an have fun.

As we started on the car that idea changed and we have gone for total rebuild. Also to know how everything works when there is some thing wrong.

This is on the trailer to pick her up. Saw the car on thursday and saterday we drove 1300Km single to pick up.

We dismantled the whole car and decided to paint the cage black.
Its painted with raptor. Not bad but next time i think i will use steel it or something like that.

For the mud events we decided to ditch the Maxxis trepadors and bought a baby set 40' lerma gomme mud tyres. For speed we will have a set of treps 40 sticky

Ok, Some suspension questions,
The shocks are 10inch outboarded to the bumpstops. is the full bump from the shocks and the bumpstop on the same level , or do the bumpstop 1/2 inch lower then the shocks for flexing ?

I'd give some room for flex, for sure.
I also had that idea, but whats the advantage ?
if you have some room for flex the axle "pivots" arround the bumpstop but you don't have more flex ... But you need more room for tyres not touchin the frame

Ever hit a rock or a big hole at speed only on one side ?
You don't want your shocks to bottom out there.

Anyone knows what crankshaft pulley this is ?
If i look on summut i got whole other style pulley's for an LQ4 engine

To go more common in europe i ordered a set of solid Hubs 6*5.5 instead of the 8*6.5.
Also a big advantage was the smaller witdh so i could end at 212cm wide.
What wheel stud do i need to use ? its a 15mm hole the knurl could be 8-9 mm...
or could i do the spidertrax idea and tap it for a 5/8 bolt ?

Ask the company you bought the hubs from ?

Done and I tapped some 16mm (because its more common over here ) So that problem is sorted.
The ballancer i don't know. the ones i found have a different offset, and even this is almost touching 1/2 inch of the axle truss.

If you give us measurements, someone that's nice enough could give you a helping hand.

Right now we're looking at a picture without any real info.

Also, ask the previous owner ?
