I am flipping a front axle for a rear engine kids buggy. So the challenge is flipping the knuckle. I cut the weld but can't get the c to budge. I called a local off-road shop and h says we put a releif cut in the c to take the pressure off then weld it back together. I have my concerns. This isn't a bouncer though it's a 2500 lb kids buggy on 40'in stickies. Is this a viable option?

I took the knuckles off a Toyota once, it was a bitch, had to carry it to the machine shop and chuck it up in a big lathe to hold the housing tight, heated it up good, then took about a 10 foot long pipe and twisted it out.

I wouldn't be scared to split the side to remove it. V-bevel it back out and weld the **** out of it and rock on.

I ended up going out to the shop this morning with a little frustrated and then a big hammer and beat those things off! They were a beast. But I'm glad to have them off. Now I just need to send a tiny bit of clearance in there so they're not so hard to get back on
