I've had one just like this painted before. (several times actually, I had a blue one, that got painted old man tan, then silver)

This topper was originally my dad's (and is factory red), then he sold his red truck, and I still had a red truck so he gave it to me. Now he's planning on trading for a flatbed dually.

You could always spray paint or even plasti dip it semi gloss black. Then it looks fine on any color truck.
