Just finishing up the driveline swap in my buggy. I am now running a 4.3 vortec V-6, 700r, Dana 300. Before the swap the buggy had a 16 vlave side kick motor, samurai 5 speed, and samurai transfer case. I am estimating I added around 500-600 poounds. After completing the swap the front suspension was squatting pretty bad. I am confused by the original setup though. I guess it was setup more for desert racing. The original front coilovers are 2.5 FOA's with 18' 150 lower springs, and 12" 150 upper springs. I called around and the only 3" coils I could find in town were some 16" 250 lowers. After installing the 250 lowers and cutting the 18" 150 lowers to 14" (for testing purposes) the ride felt a little stiff. I wanted to see if anyone was running a similiar setup, to try and get a baseline. I don't have access to scales this weekend. Any advice would help. Also if anyone out there has some 3" coils that will work please let me know.
