On the unknown ones. Many times they are marked on the ground edge top or bottom. Done with engraving tool. A little scotch brite pad to the end will make it show up.

Ill look. They had king with the weight. I bought the shocks used and they were kings. Underneath the black is red so im not sure who makes red other than viper.
