Ethanol?

Is there any good or bad sides to this stuff? I've heard that it really hurts gas mileage and I'm scared to run it in the Chevy.

Correct me if I'm wrong guys. But if I'm not mistaken Ethanol burns cleaner and cooler. But it doesnt have quite the power that gasoline generates when ignited. Thats where the fuel milage gets affected. Has to burn more to make same power. Other than that I think you should be fine?

I think mileage does go down like 1-2 but you make it up with the cost of it. Daniel is right, it burns cooler, thats why its only 85 percrent ethanol and the rest gasoline, otherwise no cars would start in cold wheather.
