We have a cummins in a 10 wheeler and with 70k on it feels like crap until you're over 1500 rpm  The c15's in teh semi's and the twin dump truck to the cummins come on at like 1300, and the c15 with twins is LIT at just over 1000. Its stupid how that thing with twins feels. Even with the particulate filter, it is a monster. Funny thing is the 09 is the one that is on our 35 ton lowboy, and we take it everywhere. The 55 ton with stinger sits almost all the time until a crane or our 300HD Komatsu needs hauled. The more powerful truck has the smaller trailer laughing1 Either way, that 18 speed makes up for a lot if you have over 500 horse. That said, all I've ever grossed was 138k with the weaker 485 horse cat, and it was no dragster booyang
