Just figured I would ask it's been driving me crazy. Getting it too hot? What the hell could pop like it broke a weld and not show signs of anything? Thanks in advance fellas it's just been driving me nuts. <img src="/styles/default/xenforo/smilies2/dblthumb2.gif" class="smilie" loading="lazy" alt=":dblthumb:" title="Dblthumb2 :dblthumb:" data-shortname=":dblthumb:" /></p></blockquote><p></p>
So I figured I would use these old rotors off a buddies Dodge truck, to make a work bench , 6 x 6 post were a little wobbly, and I'm to trying to straighten up as much as I can.. My question is, after welding each one on.. I think I remember both of them doing it, I for sure know that one made a loud pop, i've had this happen before when welding, I kinda get what's happening I think.. With it getting so hot. The question is what the hell Pops like that?? There's no signs of any cracks that I can see, but from the sound of it there should have been. It was so loud that it 1 AM, I stopped what I was doing because I thought my girl was gonna come down pissed bout waking the baby. I know some of you are ALOT more experienced than me at welding ... Just figured I would ask it's been driving me crazy. Getting it too hot? What the hell could pop like it broke a weld and not show signs of anything? Thanks in advance fellas it's just been driving me nuts. :dblthumb:
