I sold my TTR last night and now I'm shopping craigslist for a bigger bike to buy. Thinking about a Husqvarna 410 wxc over in Spokane that's been converted/plated to street legal. Anyone have any opinions on this bike or Husky's in general? I ride back and forth to work, and out on single track stuff around here on the weekends. One thing I am worried about is parts availability, but maybe that's a null issue? We have quite a few bike shops in Wenatchee, seems like one should be able to get Husky parts.

Well he's in Wenatchee, but thanks for trying :awesomework:

Matt, I would call around to some of the bike shops and see if they can easily get husky parts or deal with them at all. I would hate to buy a bike and have to order everything I needed for it over the net or phone...

There's a bike shop owned by an older guy up in Cashmere that can order most stuff it sounds like. Not much different than going to Condotta's for my Yamaha parts... nothing in stock ever, have to order it all the time. I think I might go ahead and do it. It's 2 grand, I might be able to talk the guy down a bit.

huskys suck to get parts for.........i used to own a husky...broke a water pump cover while riding. a 14 dollar part...marshall at nw european cycles in parkland sold me the bike..he then tells me that parts on backorder....and good luck..ended up calling every husky shop on the west coast found one in nevada... fixed the bike and sold it....

Thats the place I was talking about..right on the edge of Parkland n spanaway!!

Iam pretty sure Matt makes his way out this way alot!!..

as for the place in Cashmere!! Its a small shop but Iam pretty sure they get there fare share of business!,,I pass by there atleast once or twice a month while on the road...
I want the MINI bike on the roof!!!!:awesomework:

Got myself a new stallion for the stable. I'll have to get used to the left side kick. It's got Idaho plates/registration, hopefully it won't be too much hassle to get it moved into my name (IE, no inspections... cause it probably won't pass, haha).

Here's a crappy cell phone pic...

Ero bikes as well as american bikes in the off road or dual sport world are far better bikes then the jap bikes.

If thats the truth then WHY are all the top riders riding Yamaha and Kawasaki and Honda? no need to mention sazuki! they just plain :puke:

what american bike does well in offroad races? Cannondale? :haha:

I never said racing but the ATK is a nice Bike but it has come in first on race day once or twice.

What racing are you talking about not that I was talking racing? The Ero bikes dominate when they are put in the mix even supercross.

you put a stock KTM up against any jap stock bike and you will get your ass handed to you. I will be owning a 530 EXC one of these days

Update... it started on the second kick this morning, I rode it to work... and now it won't start. :haha:

Maybe I should figure out how to work this compression release lever dealie-o. That might help. :redneck:

Depends on how good of a deal it is... :flipoff:

All that matters is your satisfied with it, just an opinion, you asked for em :flipoff:

Jeff Ward on a KTM, Ricky Carmichael on a pos Suzuki and wtf did you just say? Who's handing who their ass??? Its the rider that makes the bike, not the bike that makes the rider. If im not mistaken, John Dowd (43) while riding a Suzuki at Southwick just handed a young Alessi kid not half his age his ass while riding a KTM :corn:
A KTM will however be my next bike but im 40 yrs old now. I may be riding a Chinese wheelchair at 70...

Last weekend there were 6 KTM's in the top 10 racers in AMA National Enduro race How the hell did that happen :stirpot: not to mention 4 of the top 5 over all points leaders for the series are riding KTM's :corn:

Hmmm, maybe because the top riders are riding those...
Your right, David Knight would be a nobody on anything but a KTM... Bwahaahaahaa.
Jeremy McGrath wasn't the same by then :corn:

Sweet Bike:awesomework:

When I was a kid I had a Maico 490...It was left side kick......I "could" kick it left footed but I usually got off and stood on something, like a stump, and kicked that F'er over with my right foot.Talk about a monster:eeek:

I had a CR 480,CR 500,YZ 490,XR 500 and a few others that came and went.....the Maico was way more hairball to ride than all the others combined:redneck:

I may have to get a dirt bikes again:redneck:
