I'm going on day 3 replacing these rear leafs on my xj. The front bolts that go in to the unibody were totally frozen. 1 can of PB Blaster later, and I've gotten them off. I have gone through 2 additional sets of help too. Those things wear you out!
At any rate, they're out. NOW, the bolts are hosed. Little to no thread left which from what I hear from folks is somewhat normal..
So, tomorrow, I'll get a ride to work, and steal someone's car so I can get some replacement bolts at either the stealership or tacoma screw. I don't care at this point. I REALLY didn't think this project would take me that long. I remember when I had my 1990 xj, it was like a 2 day project. But, again, (just like now) lack of the proper tools and a LOT of improvisation.
