You lookin for balljoint or king pin?

Pretty sure the balljoint knuckles are the same up till they went to metric studs and unit bearings in 99.

King pin was late 80s-early 90s.

Yep 97 is a ball joint 60 8 on 6.5 bolt pattern same as 92-96

Yes looking for a ball joint. I am doing a free spin on my 98 dodge. I think i read that in 97 ford changed the way the knuckle angle the knuckle was mounted. So it wouldn't be a direct swap. Nah, people in that thread were just mis-quoting the years. They are the same all the way through 98 (ball joint/spindle)

I've got a 94 and a 97 in Muscle Shoals for $700.00 for either. To clarify the 92-94 are the same and 95-97 are the same. The difference is the brakes. 92-94 has old style slide pin calipers and 95-97 has bolt on and rotors are slightly larger.

And if its a DD, I'd go with the new style brakes. My pins like to wiggle out on mine. Ive never LOST one, but I have to keep a check on them.
