The TJ (BlackTJ97) I was running with was my partner at the Team Trophy Challenge last year so we decided to run on a lot of the same trails as last fall without trying to find out if we were lost or not. We also broke through the snow from Shoestring down Manastash Ridge Trail, a path that according to the lack of tracks leading over the snow had not been run yet this season. Or at least since the most recent snow drifts had been put in place. We hit about 50 miles of trail/road over the 3 days and had a pretty relaxing time.</p><p></p><p>It was surprisingly cold up there for late June. The Manastash campground was at 4300 feet and the heaters where kicked on in the campers at night. Snow was seen on the back side of most of the ridges above 5000 feet. Kind of surprising how much was still in the area.
