You both kicked ass. Matt, I could tell you were running extremely fast just from prerunning the course myself. Since you ran before the rest of your class it was hard to tell how fast in relation to them you were running but just the fact that you finished put you in the top 46% alone. Everyone who placed got held up somehow or another. Andrew got held up by another rig blocking the course. But he did not break down and I believe that that alone put him and Witch Dr. in the top 15%. And if you would have seen him nipping at Witch's heels the entire race as I did you would have fully appreciated the design and engineering that had to take place to prevent a breakdown for those two guys. No one ran harder than them IMO simply because they could smell eachother's BO the entire race. They were SO close! When they came through my checkpoint their rigs were basically touching. It got MY adrenaline rushing. I can't imagine the red I would be seeing had I actually been in their positions. But they did not break and that was the difference. I could be mistaken but I believe that maybe only 3 rigs amongst ALL the classes didn't have to stop for some sort of mechanical malfunction but they were automatically in the top 8% of all racers as a result of that. Awesome job to everyone. I hope that the event happens again in the future when my buggy is done as I was wishing the entire race that I was in it. J. J.
