I know that the mounting surface is correct, but my understanding is that a standard 60 cover is too deep to run a conventional tie rod setup on those axles. The casting of the axle housing has the diff cover mounting surface further forward from the center of the carrier.

I think that's a problem with the knuckles more than the cover. The stock tie rod has a bend in it to clear the cover. My tie Rod just has a bend in it too.

When our cover is mounted it sits 3 3/8" off the mounting surface of the axle cover.
