Well for starters I've built a few mrc's and one decent scaler but this is my first 1/10 scale rig. I've been reading a lot and have a pretty good idea on how I want it. Here's the plan;

New Bright Wrangler TJ
Custom c channel frame chassi (built by me)
55t integy motor with HPI GRU
Killer tcase from rc4wd
Links front and rear
Hand bros chassi mounted servo and panhard kit
Rc4wd dual spring scale shocks 80mm in the rear and 100mm up front
Full interior
3/16 steel flat fenders front and rear with armor
3/16 roll cage
1.55 rc4wd void wheels with 1.55 iroks
Hitec 5645ms servo
Bulldog winch
Axial ax10 axles

I'm sure there is more but I can't think of it
Here's my inspiration

Plus I picked up a used ax10 for parts and dissassembled it for cleaning

That about brings you up to speed. Still waiting on parts lots of parts.

I need to have the mods change this to "mrc tj build". But until then I will keep posting. I got my body today finally after two weeks of waiting.

So I got to work on finishing my frame after about an hour I had it how I wanted it.

A quick trip to my parents house to use my dads bandsaw and pow! I have two frame rails.

Now here's where things got mixed up. I was planning on using scx10 axles but they were just way to wide for the body. I have a set of mrc axles so I figured what the hell I'll give these a shot and with some wider hexes they should work perfect. This jeep is supposed to look like a mildly built trail rig. So I got to work on the rear 4 link. This is where I ended the evening.

I'm going to have to make a few changes to my design. With using the mrc axles il going to have to use a axle mounted steering servo just due to lack of room for a panhard bar. And I think I'm going to have to rethink my shocks.

Any comments or critics is appreciated. I'm new to this still learning as I go.

Made some more little progress today. For my cage mounts made. Was able to use the stock plastic cage mount spots for my mounts. Just some 1/2" cold rolled round cut in 1/8" lengths and drilled with a 3mm bolt brazed into them. The bolt will go down through the body with a washer and a nut on the underside to secure it to the body.

Then I got to start on the fun stuff, building the cage. After about 20 pictures from my buddy Todd I had a good idea how to copy his 1:1 cage. Got the a pillar bent up.

Hoping tomorrow and Friday I can get the cage knocked out then this weekend I can start body work.
