So sad that Swampers are an endagered species now. A month ago I was looking for some of these, couldn't find any and gave up. I've seen several posts looking for them since. I have no relatio to this person. Just a random ad I found on CL.

Someone bought them out they are starting to make tires again. They did stop making 16.5" tires.

Negative. They are not stopping 16.5" tires. Nor did they get bought out to my knowledge. One of the factories that made their tires was owned and operated by Denman Tire. Denman Tire went under and they had to move production to a different factory. They are severely behind on production as a result and many of the the bigger tires are on backorder for months if not years.

For instance, I called them about these tires a month or so ago and they said that they had no plans to produce them again for the following 6 months. Beyond that they could not project.

I called the local Interco main office / distribution center this week for a price on a set of tires. They said 30-60 days till pretty much any tire they offer other than a Bogger or a Thornbird will be available. I asked if I could really expect to be able to buy a set of tires in two months and they said that was the best they could give me for an answer right now, and they are getting the molds setup in a new factory to start production ASAP. From the horses mouth.....
