Me and Adam made a run up to Surprise Lake on Saturday. We wanted to get in some snow wheeling and we decided to attempt the lake again. This was my third attempt since it started snowing up there. Well we finally made it.

We had a great time. Here are a couple of videos of us trying to get up on a snow drift that was in the trail about 75 yards from the end where Surprise Lake is.

The trip down was pretty hairy. I would not recommend this trip in the snow for the faint of heart.

I bet it was fawking sketch by the dropoff! My gf would have cried:D

It was, that first sharp right hand coming down was a slippery pucker spot looking right at the long drop with nothing to stop you but a hard right turn, getting on the gas, and hoping it didn't keep going straight. There wasn't alot of snow there because the sun hits it all day, so what was there turned to ice when we drove on it going up, plus we stayed up there till almost dark so the temp drop made it slicker. Anything slightly off camber put your ass over towards the edge. Crab walk all the way to the trees. I have never been so happy to hear those damn trees and limbs scratching the **** out of my paint and windows again :redneck:

Not too long. We made it all the way to the spot where these videos were taken without any issues. From there on up it was deep icy snow that you break through and it is hard to get back on top of. But that was just pretty much the vicinity of the lake.
