I have tried to write this reply a few times already, but have not found the words to truly express the happiness that 9 year old boy and his family experienced this past weekend. Garrett is a great young man and JR and Lori are some first rate parents and I wanted to make sure they remembered this day forever. First off, I want to thank Adam Woodlee and WOD for donating the Axle helmet which I had as many of the drivers autograph for him as possible with the short amount of time I had. As most people know, if you ride with me, you're going to need a good helmet. lol The look on Garrett's face when I gave it to him was absolutely priceless an it just continued to get better throughout the day.

As I said , it was only going got better. Prior to awarding Travis Lovett the $25,000 Bounty hill money he claimed that evening, Tom presented Garrett and his family with a Brand New Polaris 4 wheeler just like the one that was destroyed. This was what it was all about, seeing a 9 year old boy, whose dreams were crushed, brought back to life by the Wheeling community/ family that we are. It doesn't get much better than this. His father who already knew about this, was left speechless and was in tears as well as Garrett and his mother. Good things happen to good people. It will forever being on my mind and glad to say I was there and lived a small part of this great event.

Tom, if you happen to read this, God bless you for all you do and the generosity that you show this sport and all the lives you touch. You truly are a gentleman and someone everyone should get to meet sometime in there lives. You stand as a pillar in the wheeling community and an shining example of what it means to be a caring Christian man. Myself and everyone who attended will forever remember what you did for this family on October 10th, 2015.
