The TJ OEM rear cross member is subpar to say the least when it comes to mounting an aftermarket bumper to it. They also tend to rust out. Motobilt offers a 3/16 Steel boxed and gusseted replacement.
This has all of the bolt holes for Jeep TJ rear body mounts as well as the Gas Tank Skid.
It is also strong enough to be used as a rear bumper replacement, if you are looking for that sleek minimalistic look for high clearance departure angles.
We offer weld on for recovery points if you want to run the cross member as a bumper replacement and need D-Ring Shackle Mounts.
