Barnes 4wd Ultra 100 Product Line

The Barnes 4wd Ultra 100 comprises a new series of products entirely made from 100,000 min yield strength steel. Ultra 100 steel maintains the advantage in the way that it would take 100,000 pounds of force to permanently deform or bend.

Our current/past products are made from 50,000 min yield steel, compared to some competitors using 36,000 min yield steel.

In the past, the thinking has always been "Beefier is better," and in this case the game has changed. The world of motorsports demands a high level of attention to weight versus power, relating directly to acceleration, deceleration, and handling. By utilizing Ultra100 high strength steel, products are able to utilize a thinner steel, surpassing strength 2-3 times over, as well as saving substantial weight.
Unlike chromoly, Ultra 100 parts will not require heat treatment after welding, and can be MIG welded to any other steel.
