[QUOTE="LightBnDr, post: 681933, member: 9031"] I had this conversation in traffic this morning. So this is funny to me. So why is a different way of thinking or the process of fact checking and validating any less crazy than without a doubt believing any city, state or federal employee? I think a lot of us scoff in the same way at people who just go along with what they are fed. In mentioning the “9/11. . . . really?” comment. Let’s say I meet a couple of you at a wheeling event. In conversation I mention that I was cutting some 8” I beam in my shop the other day. I told you that in the middle of my cut, I ran out of propane. Luckily I had a couple extra small ones in my attic left over from a camping trip. Then I was able to finish my cut. Phew What is your answer? Ok so I’ll guess. Just about all of you would say BULLLCRAP!! Right? Why, because propane will never get hot enough to heat 1/4” steel to the point of melting on top of the fact that a propane torch doesn’t have an oxygen button to blow the molten metal out of the way? So let’s say I say the same exact thing to a group of Dads on my daughters soccer team. Most likely they will nod their head, smile and maybe say “yeah man, good thing you had those extras” My point being that when you have knowledge of a certain method that things must be done in or else the end result is impossible, how in your right mind could you not question the validity of the person spewing it?
