Looking for something cheap and small, no room for a big winch like an 8274. M6000/M8000 or similar. Does not have to work, just fixable.

smittybilt die on you?

It will not Free Spool or stay engaged. I am about fed up with it. Was going to call them about warranty and see if they have done anything to fix the problems

Yeah mine started out not freespooling easily was real hard to pull. I took it apart and re greased it and that solved the problem. It was a very easy job. I would call them its supposed to have a lifetime warranty on all mechanical parts. When I took mine apart it had I think tmax internals in it.

Yeah I just re-greased mine with Green grease also. Still have the problem. I cannot keep it engaged, even with a zip tie on the chassis pulling the handle down

awesome! they give you much trouble?

No it was super easy dealing with them. I told them what it was doing and they sent out an end plate and selector knob
