Been married 28 years and have always had a ring. Started off with a cheap gold band that I lost somehow, IDK. So we bought another one a little nicer with some scrolling on the edges and it lasted but the scrolling didn't. So then we took a bunch of damaged jewelry she had and melted it all into a nugget ring, yep I got one of those. Next we went and bought a very nice gold band with diamonds in it for "special occasions" like if I think I might get laid. Still have the nugget ring and the 2nd band and the special occasion ring. For our 25th she got her original diamonds reset into some very nice rings and I got a really nice tungsten carbide ring that has some cuts along the edges and a carbon fiber insert in the middle. The ring is 3/8 wide and thick. I really like it except that I am always hitting it on stuff. Anytime I am working I have to take it off cause it's always in the way. They said I couldn't scratch it, I said bullshit. Well I have not scratched the tungsten carbide but I have scratched plenty of things with it. And I have scratched the **** out of the clear coating over the carbon fiber insert. I have polished it out several times, needs it again right now. Been thinking about a silicon ring but have not looked into them yet.
