What Happened???

Okay so i know im going to sound retarded but honestly none of this makes sense. Anyhow today i decided to change the oil and oil filter in my 1941 Willy's MB....Sounds simple enough right? Not first had to buy a new socket cause i didnt have one big enough, well after that i thought sure 30 minutes im done right? Wrong after installing the new oil filter and oil started her up and shes puking oil out of the top of the oil filter canister like knobdys buisness. So what happened its tight as hell yet still puking oil what did i do wrong?

inspect the gasket mating surface and the rubber gasket, did you put some oil on the surface of the gasket? is it the correct filter for sure? did you double check the measurements of the old filter and the new one? and are you 100 percent positive it the stock engine/right application? first oil change?

Hahaha im just a retard and appartently the gasket slipped a bit when i originally put it on oops! Anyways disregard this thread then
