So I joined up with the Turtles this weekend and did the Windy Ridge trail. For those who don't know where it is.. its up north of pemberton, and goes all the way up and out to Cache creek. All said and done, it was 600 miles round trip from Bellingham!

It was DAMN cold btw.. -14C when we woke up sunday morning.
 
It was a nice trip. Usually its a bit more of a challenge with all the soft spots to go though, but all standing water was frozen, as was the ground.

I previously did this trip in August a few years back. Top and windshield down. Amazing how much one does not see with a top on!

Yes, it used to be an old cattle drive trail of the Empire Ranch.

Going to be interesting finding one's way though in the years to come as they are cutting most of the trees out due to all the beetle kill.
