Sold/Expired WTB: 205 or Atlas

need a NP 205(stock or w/ lomax) or an Atlas t-case.

needs to be GM (passenger drop), will be bolting up to a turbo 400 trans

I have a couple 205's with adapter to 400 laying around. They don't go cheap, and by the time you buy the adapter and case with lomax kit and put it together, you're in atlas territory. That said, I'll do $450 for case and adapter.

thats my delima, a stock 205 will get me back riding quick! and i can upgrade to lomax later for about $1000. or spend $2200 and risk the wife cutting my funding and not be able to finish the buggy lol

if i do go with an atlas which gear should i run?

5.3 mostly stock, th400, tons w/ 5.13 gears/ 39 krawlers

OOH, those axle gears make the lomax look good.
3.0 or 3.8. 3.8 is going to feel real steep for bouncing, about right for crawling technical stuff.
3.0 will feel great for throttling, a little high for all day crawling like clayton.
depends on your wheeling style.

Go 3.0, I have a 6.0 th400, 3.8 atlas with 4.88 gears and 39" tires. I wish I would have went with a 3.0 in the case

I agree Daniel - don't go lower than 3.0. I have 6.17 and 3.0 and it is too low 5.13 with the 3.0 would be great

thanks for the input, i believe ill go ahead and get a 205 , get everything in place and if the budget allows i will do a lomax
