The Machine * Digger custom chassis * 100” wheel base * MPI 3.4 Liter GM motor * 60° 700R4 transmission by CTR * Digger custom high angle Driveshaft * Flipped Dana 300 transfer case with twin sticks * Teradon Unimog axles with 406aAir lockers * T-Max 6500 lb winch * Digger custom 4 link suspension * Fox 14” air shocks * Stazworks custom double beadlocks * Maxxis Creepy Crawler 40” tires This custom rockcrawling buggy is the seventh generation buggy Chris (Digger) has built. All brackets, mounts, aluminum, and cage work was done with hand tools: level, tape measure, manual pipe bender, 4 ½” angle grinder, 110V Hobart MIG Welder, Duracraft chop saw, Snap-On air drill, and a Dynamics plasma cutter. The rig’s chassis is powered by a 210 H.P. 3400 engine from a 2004 Chevy Venture, connected to a 90° 700R4 transmission, and backed up by flipped a Dana 300 4-1 ratio transfer case with twin sticks. Digger custom made high-angle driveshafts put power to the massive Taradon Unimog 406 axles. These heavy duty Mercedes Benz 406 portal axles retain factory air lockers. Axles are attached to the chassis with Digger custom 4-link suspension on front and rear. The double-ended 9" stroke ram is capable of turning the 40" Maxxis Creepy Crawler tires, mounted on 17" Stazworks double Beadlocks, 50+ degrees. Ground clearance is 21” under the axle tubes, and 18" under the differentials. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=583015
